What to Expect:
We will take this Geography course over a 2-year period. This allows us to take it slow and do just 3 activities per week. Year 1 is 8 lessons and will cover Physical Geography. Each lesson takes 4 weeks to complete.
Your textbook is online and is accessed by clicking the picture to the left of each week’s schedule. The link will open in a separate window so you won’t have to navigate from this screen in order to reference the text.
I have created a binder that contains all the information you need to complete activities, note-taking, atlas building, etc. At the end of each lesson is a quiz (basically 1 quiz per month). You will not be allowed to use your notes for the quizzes or the final exam. Every Thursday is a study/review day where you will be practicing your memorization and reviewing the material you’ve covered so far. With this set up, you should be prepared for the quizzes each month. By the end of the year, you’ll have great reference tools to help you study for your final exam.
I’ve laid out the schedule to be 3 activities a week–you can decide which days you chose to tackle these, but I’ve labeled them on a regular T/W/Th schedule to develop a routine and stay on track with this course.
